Belted Tartan
from £169.00

Handmade just over the sea from Skye, on the bonny Isle of Raasay. These are made from Lochcarron’s beautifully woven lambswool (Isle of Skye) tartan. Light yet warm, they’re as versatile as the island weather: perfect for wrapping up against the wind on a daily wander, or flowing free for a good dance. Rooted in heritage yet alive with freedom, these tartans carry the spirit of Raasay with every step.

Wear it your own way

A man practicing martial arts outdoors on a grassy field with mountains and a cloudy sky in the background. He has long hair tied back and wears a black jacket and a plaid skirt.
A person practicing martial arts or a pose outdoors on a grassy area with mountains and a partly cloudy sky in the background.

We designed a wee kilt that’s easy to wear.

Dress them up. Dress them down. Fling yersel around at festivals and ceilidhs in them.

What does tartan mean to you?

It’s a right loaded symbol, isn’t it? Rebellion, land, home, punk, true Scotsmen...

Symbols matter. Like — at the deepest, most subconscious level.

And meaning’s no something you can buy — it’s something you make.

We’re not going to sit here and try to load more meaning onto kilts or tartan.

You give your wee kilt its meaning.

You weave that in every time you wear it.

Do it consciously — encode this new symbol in your life with your intention, your meaning, your truth.

That’s how dreams come true, pals.

Anything can be a totem.

Weave your will into this one.
